A care home in Croydon is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
On Friday 20th April, from 12pm – 4pm the team at Addington Heights on Milne Park West will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Addington Heights has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, guests will be able to enjoy fun games and activities, a live sing-along, and a delicious royal-themed buffet.
Tony Onabanjo, home manager at Addington Heights, said: “Residents have enjoyed creating homemade crowns ahead of the royal celebration, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Croydon for what promises to be a fun-filled day.”
Visitors to the Care Home Open Day event at Addington Heights will also be able to pick up their copy of Care UK’s guide, A Helping Hand.
